KEZA

This is a song I just wrote for a ministry called KEZA. My good friend Jared Miller started this organization in RWANDA. Originally called SISTERS OF RWANDA, KEZA began as a way to help the women in Rwanda(there are many more than men after the genocide) make a living without prostitution. They make jewelry. It is incredible what God has done there. Please look up the website.

Anyway, KEZA is an african word meaning Beautiful and UBUNTU is an african word meaning "We" or the ultimate word for family. This song is currently being recorded for their recent documentary coming out soon.

(Verse 1)
She sees a big big sky out there
She wonders if the world will care
There's a story behind her face
History hard enough to curse this place

There's a lonely cloud that follows her
But it won't follow her for long
Because Ubuntu is her family
And Keza is her song

(Chorus)
We're beautiful together
We're beautiful and strong
We're beautiful together
Because Keza is our song

(Verse 2)
When the moon disappears
The sunshine dries her heavy tears
There's a faith she finds today
In the God of Hope, Love and Grace

There's a lonely cloud that follows her
But it won't follow her for long
Because Ubuntu is her family
And Keza is her song

(Bridge)
It's all the same tonight
The moon and stars and sky
Black or Brown or White
We're all the same tonight
