Guiding Principles
- Participants have an internal passion to create songs or music
- Creating should be a joy, not a drudgery
- Meetings are a place of refreshment and encouragement
- Meetings are an easy and hopeful place to share your creativity
- Participants have a desire to create with a sense of higher purpose whether they create music intended for a Christian audience or a secular audience
- All styles of music are welcome
- All levels of presentation are welcome
- Participants have a desire for excellence in musicality and lyrical communication
- Validation as a songwriter is not dependent on having a deal, commercial publication, or public performance; it is based solely on the fact that you write songs and the understanding that God takes pleasure in your creation
- This group is not about getting a deal but about nurturing God’s creative purposes expressed through you and becoming a better communicator through songwriting
- Respect, affirmation and encouragement are the primary etiquette for every meeting
